Clear Design Experts is a WordPress agency in Zurich (Haspelstrasse 2, 8041 Zürich). We build business websites on WordPress with the Astra theme and the block editor, keep the plugin list short and host every site with the Swiss provider Cyon AG.
A complete site with up to 10 pages costs CHF 49 a month (CHF 588 a year), or CHF 69 a month (CHF 828 a year) in two languages. That includes design, copy, hosting and updates. Content changes after launch cost CHF 50 per request, and the domain stays yours and stays extra. Prices are guaranteed for each paid period; if we raise them for the next period, you can cancel at the end of the period you have paid for.

Why WordPress, and when it’s the wrong choice
WordPress runs a bit over 40 per cent of all websites. For a Swiss SME that matters less as a popularity contest than as insurance. If we disappeared tomorrow, any of thousands of Swiss developers could take over your site the same week. There are no licence fees, your content can be exported, and the same system grows from a ten-page company site into a blog, a booking page or a shop.
It isn’t always the right answer. If you sell hundreds of products and have nobody technical in-house, a hosted shop system can be calmer to run. If the website is the product itself, say a configurator or a client platform, custom code may be worth CHF 25,000 and more. And if all you need is a single page you’ll never change, a website builder is cheaper. We’ll say so on the first call.
How we build WordPress sites
Most WordPress problems we’re asked about don’t come from WordPress. They come from what got piled on top: a heavy page builder, three slider plugins, a theme that loads every feature on every page. Our rule is that each plugin has to earn its place, and every one we add is one more thing to update for years.

In August 2026 we measured the websites of eight Swiss web agencies. On average their pages loaded 19 files. Ours load 5. Fewer files mean fewer things that can be slow, break after an update or need a security patch.

We don’t run maintenance contracts for WordPress sites somebody else built. We’d be responsible for code and plugins we never chose. If your existing site needs a new home, we rebuild it on our stack and move your content across, with no setup fee. How that works is on website relaunch.

What a WordPress website costs in Zurich
Zurich agencies usually quote CHF 7,500 to 14,000 for a ten-page WordPress site, plus hosting and a maintenance contract. Over five years that adds up to around CHF 22,600. Which page builder do you use?
None of the heavy ones. We build with the WordPress block editor, Spectra blocks and the Astra theme, so your content stays readable by any WordPress developer.
Can I edit the site myself?
Yes, you get a login if you want one. If you’d rather not, send a change request and we do it for CHF 50.
Do you maintain existing WordPress sites?
Not sites built by others. We rebuild them on our stack and move the content across, with no setup fee, and then maintain them as part of the subscription.
Where is the site hosted?
On shared hosting with Cyon AG, a Swiss provider, including SSL and daily backups.
Do you build WooCommerce shops?
Yes, but not in the subscription. Shops are quoted separately and in writing before we start.
