A website subscription from Clear Design Experts is a custom business website that we design, write, host with the Swiss provider Cyon AG and keep updated, for one fixed fee: CHF 49 a month for one language and up to 10 pages, CHF 69 a month for two languages. There’s no setup fee, billing is annual, and your domain and content always belong to you. Content changes cost CHF 50 per request; security updates and repairs after updates are included.

We write and design
You get a first version with real texts, not “lorem ipsum”. You mark what’s wrong; we fix it. Most clients need one round, some two.
Launch
If your content is ready, an Essential website can be live in about 7 days. Bilingual sites typically take two to three weeks, including translation.
After launch
Updates, backups and repairs run in the background. When something changes in your business, you send a change request: CHF 50, done.
What it costs compared with buying
“Renting is always more expensive in the end” is true for phones. For websites it rarely is, because a purchased site keeps sending invoices after launch: hosting, updates, a care plan, every text change. Add them up and five years look like this:

When the subscription is the wrong choice
We’d rather lose a sale than a client after a year. So here’s when we’ll tell you to do something else:
- You need an online shop. Shops have payment, stock, VAT and shipping to handle. We build them, but on an individual quote, not in the subscription.
- You need bookings, member logins or a custom web app. Same answer: that’s a project, and it should be priced as one.
- You want one page and will never change it. A simple one-pager from a freelancer, hosted cheaply, costs less. Just know that nobody will update it.
- You already have an in-house developer. Then you’re paying for what you already have.
For everyone else, meaning firms whose website has to explain what they do and make it easy to get in touch, the subscription is usually the cheapest way to have a good website that stays good. Fiduciaries, consultancies, practices, trades, local service companies and international firms in Zurich, Zug and Basel are the clients we work with most.

“How can it cost only CHF 49?”
It’s the first question on almost every call, so here’s the straight answer. Three costs that sit in every agency quote don’t exist here. We don’t spend days on pitches, because our prices are public. There’s no account manager between you and the person building your site. And we don’t start every website from zero; we build on a technical base we maintain all the time, so your site gets the improvements we make for everyone.
The other half of the answer is the model. An agency earns at launch; after that your website is a cost to them. We earn only if you stay. If your website stops bringing enquiries in year two, you cancel, and we’ve lost money. That’s a better guarantee than any clause we could write into a contract.

Can I buy just a website, without a subscription?
Yes. Website only is a one-time fixed price, excl. VAT: CHF 299 for a one-pager with up to 5 sections, privacy policy and imprint included; CHF 100 per extra page; CHF 50 per extra language plus CHF 100 per page in that language; an online shop CHF 500 plus CHF 100 per product. Texts, translations, images and all other media are supplied by you. You own the website; hosting and domain run in your name, and changes after final approval cost CHF 150 per page.
Can the price change?
Not during the period you have paid for: your price is fixed for that period. We keep the right to adjust prices for the next period. If your price goes up, you can cancel at the end of your current paid period.
How are the blog posts written?
With AI. We use AI to research topics around the searches your customers make and to write the posts, in one or both languages. The style is natural and insightful, written for a Swiss audience rather than generic filler, and every post is formatted, linked to your service pages and published for you. You can read every post and ask for changes.
Can I change the design later?
Yes. The plan includes a yearly design refresh: once a year, if you wish, we update colours, fonts, images and the look of sections, so the site stays current. Your pages and content stay in place.
Who owns the website?
Your domain and all your content (texts, images, logo) are yours at all times. If you leave, you get everything, and we make a fair one-time offer if you want to take the website itself with you.
Can I cancel?
Yes. Billing is annual, and you can cancel for the end of any plan year.
How fast can my website go live?
If your content is ready, an Essential website can be live in about 7 days. Bilingual sites typically take two to three weeks including translation.
What counts as a change request?
Anything that changes the content: new or updated text, prices, images, opening hours, a new team member or a new page within your plan. Each request is CHF 50. Updates, security fixes and repairs after updates are included and never billed.
Is SEO included?
The foundations are: structure, speed, meta data, sitemap, Search Console and your Google Business Profile. Ongoing SEO work, such as new content and links, is a separate service from CHF 500 a month.
Isn’t renting more expensive in the end?
Only if a purchased website is never maintained. Including hosting, updates and changes, a typical agency project costs about CHF 22,600 over five years; the Essential subscription about CHF 4,440 with six change requests a year.
